Print Terminology

At AlphaGraphics on South College Road, we constantly get asked, "What do you guys do?" Normally we answer with ," Anything you need printed, we can do it or find a way to get it done!"  That is an easy answered question compared to situations were we try to explain print and printing lingo to customers.  Like any specialty, print has its own vocabulary. When discussing a project with a customer, we sometimes sound like we are speaking a foreign language and unfortunately this can lead to misinterpretations and misunderstandings between AlphaGraphics staff and the customer.
We try to educate our clients at AlphaGraphics - Wilmington, but printing is our specialty, so when I came across an article discussing basic print terminology for all those on the other side of the counter, I thought it would be beneficial to post a link to the article for anyone interesting in learning terminology.
